My creative story...

I finished my BA studies on photography in 2001 after attending the Photography Department of TEI Athens (Technical University). At the same period of time I  studied creative photography with acclaimed photography teacher Plato Rivellis and became a member of the Photography Cycle in Athens.

During and after my studies I worked as photographer- artist in residence for various councils, as a teacher of photography and I have organized photography events and exhibitions.

Late 2001 I relocated to the UK-London where during 2003 I formed my own company of multimedia and 360VR photography (which was inoovative at that time) with the name Immersive360. 

I was the Creative Director and main photographer of the company creating 2d panoramic images and 360VR panoramas for corporate use.

With Immersive360 I have done many photography projects such as Thames Luxury Charters, Design Museum, London Fashion Show, Capio Private Hospitals, Rocco Forte and Royal Garden Hotels and others. We also won the Award of the Innovative Business of the year of 2006.

In 2006 I was also a finalist for the Cannes Sony Photographic Awards.

After Immersive360 I relocated to Fuerteventura Island - Canary Islands where i worked as the Creative Director of La Isla Tranquila, a visual multimedia travel and business guide for the Island of Fuerteventura. I have designed and photographed the visual content for the guide. I also worked there mostly as events photographer for various local events and traditional festivities.

I also worked as a professional freelance photographer for sports events, architecture, portraiture, editorial and advertising photography. Since coming back to Athens in 2010  work as a freelance photographer with advertising companies, magazines and individuals from Greece. I recently got into photography teaching again and formed "Luminus Photo Group" for my former students where we organise exhibitions in Athens and plan for future publications in Greece and abroad.

I have participated in various solo and group exhibitions in Athens and the UK with most memorable the Museum of Benaki in Athens (2001). I have published my photographs in various publications such as the Sunday Times, Photographos magazine, Views and Aspects photography book, Form and Design photobook, National Geographic for Greece.

I have exhibited in Japan (2011) as a member of IEPA photographers.
I am photography supplier to various photolibraries such as Science Photolibrary and Untitled.

In 2013 I co-founded "Diktyogenesis" a networking events company and I am also the co-founder of "En-Gr"  (online information article magazine), www.en-gr.com

 

With En-Gr I have created a series - project of individuals who make a difference in their society by creating inspiring and innovative projects and I named the project "Luminus Butterfly". This project inspired me to create an ongoing project with inspirational activities which is called "Luminus Project" as well as the Luminus Photography site.
